Practicing Political Theory: Reading Thomas Friedman

This blog is the work of Dr. Shannon Mariotti and her students at Southwestern University in preparation for the arrival of internationally renowned author, reporter, and columnist Thomas Friedman for the Shilling Lecture at Southwestern University on February 28th, 2012.
Each week, we will be reading and critically engaging his columns on this blog not only as a way to prepare for his lecture but also to bring our study of political theory to bear on contemporary thinkers and events. This blog will add to the discussion taking place in class and allow us to gain a better understanding of Friedman, his work, and contemporary political theory in general.
